SCHOLARSHIPS
Applications are due June 3
at 5:00 pm

The Housing Washington 2026 scholarship application is now open. Review of applications to select forty scholarship awardees will begin the week of June 8, 2026. Applicants will be informed of decisions by June 17, 2026. This may take place via email or phone.
We will monitor conference registrations and hotel bookings. If they fill up fast, we may make the decision to close the application sooner.
Note: First come first served does not apply. Please do not delay submitting your application.
Scholarship applications are reviewed holistically, and no single factor determines selection. The following considerations help guide our decision-making, particularly when we receive a high volume of applications:
Mission alignment
-
Does the applicant’s organization or role directly relate to affordable housing?
Potential for Impact
-
Does the applicant’s organization actively engage communities that need affordable housing resources, specifically underserved and underrepresented communities.
Previous Participation
-
Has the applicant attended the conference before or received a scholarship in the past? While prior participation does not disqualify applicants, it may be considered as one of several factors when making final decisions, especially when applications are otherwise comparable.
Geographic Diversity
-
Where is the applicant located? We may prioritize underrepresented regions, for example rural areas.
Financial Need
-
What is the financial need? We will prioritize community-based and non-profit organizations.
“I was the recipient of a scholarship to attend the Conference. I always learn a lot and benefit from it in my advocacy for homeowners.”
