WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Washington residents who work for the nonprofit community, government agencies, and individuals/associated professionals who otherwise cannot afford to attend. One application per individual/organization.
WHAT IS THE AWARD?
Each scholarship is personalized, but may include a complimentary registration, up to a two night hotel stay and travel expenses.
The Housing Washington 2025 scholarship application is NOW CLOSED. Review of applications will begin the week of August 4, 2025. Applicants will be informed of decisions by August 15, 2025. This may take place via email or phone.
What we may consider when making scholarship selections:

Mission alignment
Does the applicant’s organization or role directly relate to affordable housing? -
Potential for Impact
Does the applicant’s organization actively engage communities that need affordable housing resources, specifically underserved and underrepresented communities. -
Previous Participation
Has the applicant previously attended the conference, and have they been granted a scholarship before? Although we do not prioritize applicants that have never attended, we may use previous attendance, and use of scholarships throughout the years as a tie-breaking factor. Especially when applicants are from the same organization. -
Geographic Diversity
Where is the applicant located? We may prioritize underrepresented regions, for example rural areas. -
Financial Need
What is the financial need? We will prioritize community-based organizations, racial equity collectives, and non-profit organizations. -
Session speakers/facilitators
Is the applicant speaking in a conference session and employed by an organization with financial need?
